Aimed at late-stage PhD students and those who have recently obtained their doctorate but are not yet in a permanent academic post, across the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, the CAS Early Career Event is a popular twice-annual session offering invaluable expertise.
The event will start with lunch at 1pm, followed by talks in A01/A02 from 1.30pm. The event will:

explore research funding opportunities with a specific focus on fellowships covering British Academy, Leverhulme Trust, relevant research council and internal opportunities

provide an overview of internal support available for early career researchers

offer advice about success factors from a research council reviewer's perspective

give tips for success from a successful fellowship holder.
