Description

Aimed at late-stage PhD students and those who have recently obtained their doctorate but are not yet in a permanent academic post, across the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, the CAS Early Career Event is a popular twice-annual session offering invaluable expertise.

The event will start with lunch at 1pm, followed by talks in A01/A02 from 1.30pm. The event will:

  • explore research funding opportunities with a specific focus on fellowships covering British Academy, Leverhulme Trust, relevant research council and internal opportunities

  • provide an overview of internal support available for early career researchers

  • offer advice about success factors from a research council reviewer's perspective

  • give tips for success from a successful fellowship holder.
